Miss Lorna's bio

Miss Lorna has been dancing since the age of six, making dance a lifelong passion and a huge part of who she is. She has trained in a wide variety of styles, including ballet, tap, street, contemporary and modern, and now shares her passion and experience with students as a teacher of Acro, Street and Contemporary.

Her passion for dance led her to study Dance, Drama and PE at GCSE, achieving her highest grade in Dance. She continued her training at Colchester Institute, gaining her Level 3 National Diploma in Dance, before progressing to Suffolk University to study Dance and achieve her Level 4 qualification.

Throughout her training and career, Miss Lorna has had the opportunity to perform in theatres across the country, including larger venues in London, as well as taking part in competitions where she has achieved some fantastic awards.

She has also developed a strong passion for Acro, gaining her qualification with Acrotrix to teach the style. What started as one Acro class has now grown into four busy classes, which is something she is incredibly proud of.

Miss Lorna has also enjoyed choreographing alongside the school's talented teaching team, creating routines that have been performed at the O2 in London, as well as at competitions and award ceremonies.

Having been part of the school since 2018, Miss Lorna has loved watching it grow into the incredible dance family it is today. She is passionate about creating a safe, positive and encouraging environment where every student feels supported, valued and confident to be themselves.

For Miss Lorna, teaching is about so much more than simply learning steps. She wants every student to develop their skills, confidence and love for dance while creating memories and having fun along the way.

She hopes that every student feels that the school is their second home and knows that they are loved, cared for and believed in. 💜

One of Miss Lorna's favourite things about teaching is seeing students achieve things they never thought possible. She wishes every student could see themselves through her eyes because she truly believes they are capable of incredible things.

Miss Lorna is excited for everything the future holds and is always looking for new ways to develop her own training and knowledge, so she can continue to give her students the very best experiences and opportunities in dance.

We are incredibly lucky to have Miss Lorna as part of the TDH family, and we can't wait to see everything she and her students achieve in the future! ✨💜
