Welcome to TDH Academy, formerly known as The Dance House Academy!

Established in 2007, TDH Academy is a leading performing arts school based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, where our mission is simple: to inspire, nurture and empower every student who walks through our doors.

We are proud members of the British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA) and offer a wide variety of performing arts genres for all ages and abilities. Whether your passion is dance, Musical Theatre, acting, singing or performing, we have something for everyone — from complete beginners taking their very first steps to students who dream of pursuing a career in the performing arts.

At TDH, we believe that performing arts is about so much more than what happens on stage. It's about building confidence, making lifelong friendships, developing skills, discovering who you are and having the freedom to express yourself. Our aim is to create an environment where every student feels encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, celebrate their individuality and be proud of how far they have come.

My youngest daughter started at tdh over a year ago to just do musical theatre. From her very first lesson she has loved being there. She now does a lot of other classes, and is excelling in all and loves them so much she calls the studio her second home and her happy place! One of my other daughters has just started there now, and is also growing to love it just as fast! Tdh isn’t just a dance school, it feels like a little community. The older look after the younger ones like siblings, the parents are all friendly and most importantly the teachers are just amazing, approachable and treat each and every child as an individual and with care and consideration to all their needs.
